    memorial shot - have you seen this one?

    I know there are so many shots of this washington memorial, i tried to take one from an angle thats never been taken before.

    What a great negative shape flowing down into the frame and drawing the eye to the monument. Lots of texture to please the eye as well. I spent a lot of time swapping back and forth between enjoying the nearby detail and then the reflecting pool and monument. Sell this somehow. People should love an unconventional view.

    I agree with what Chunk said, it is very different, and a great shot, yet I think the Memorial has to be more definate. It just seems faded and I just wish it was a little darker and more visible. Other then that, I love the texture and it is very effective framing.

    Nice work - I bet this would look great blown up. I've photographed the memorial a few times and the shots are really boring, so I appreciate somethign different.

    I like this picture, as it is very original. I would, too, like to see the monument more pronounced. I also think that a shot like this might do well in color, with more contrast between the monument and the sky.
