the boy goes out on his outdoor adventure wearing his new jacket and hat ,wether he's scouting or fishing, i think the main point is to put your gear away when you get home not flop down and sleep,I'm really getting tired picking up after him, Now I know how my mom felt.

Just tell the boy that, if he doesn't put away his own stuff, then the gear goes to the dog. Looks like the dog is not complaining

The second shot is excellent. Somehow the lighting makes the puppy seem more "real" in the photograph.

I like the second shot the best. Although #1 is cute. The reason I like #2 better is it shows a bit more of the puppy/jacket and more of the blue pillow. I think the splash of blue keeps it from being too monochrome.
