I like your pose and situating yourself in a place that it appears you are comfortable in.
I see the highlighted area around your figure...haven't noticed that before but I do think it is effective. The background on right is rather busy but it is fitting to the scene.
I think your face is too dark. When people see a self portrait or any portrait, they want to see the face. You can probably bring it out more with editing.
