    Spring-time color

    A 2004 flower in bloom, taken on 25 March 2004, in NW Florida, USA.


    Camera: Nikon F100
    Lens: AF 90mm f2.8 'D' Macro Tamron
    Film: Kodak Gold 100
    Filter: Tiffen 812

    Also used a SB-28 for fill-flash.

    Very nice shot here. I think I would have tried underexposing it a little to try to get more detail in the petals (may not be possible) and would also try to boost the saturation and contrast a bit to really make those colors stand out.

    I really like it. Still trying to get the colours to pop out in my pictures. I think Greg has the right idea though, if the colours where more vivid it'd be that much more mezmorizing (and for some of us depressing.. *looks at the brown grass*) spring is here though! so nice out!! just blooming later than you obviously.
