    Macro Inside...

Thanks to all the help I've received here, I think my macro technique is getting better - especially in sharpness. Here is today's attempt. C & C most welcome. - TF

Flower placed well forward in lightbox.

I'm no macro expert but I do rather like this. You have the right amount of sharpness on the interior of the flower and the outside softness works for me as does the color and exposure.

I have to agree with Frog. I like the softness and fade to white. Good focus and sharpness for the center. It's a winner in my book.

Thanks to both of you for you replies. I never would have thought that I would have to put this much effort into sharpness. I thought all (or most) of my snapshots were sharp before I started getting schooled. Ignorance was bliss. - TF

It looks great here at home on the calibrated monitor.
It merely looked good on the laptop.

The high key around the centre of the flower is well done.

    Thank you!

Had to look up 'high key'. It refers to the lighting only, correct? The flower pedals could be in focus and still be high key. Bright, shadowless (multi-source) with minimal contrast?
