    Lost Bridge
I found this one from last year, lost on the HD, so I call it Lost Bridge.....

I can't pinpoint what seems wrong, maybe not enough contrast or something... I like the photo a lot and the gate at the end pushes it over the top for me, almost like a bridge to nowhere. I'd like to see it desaturated more, especially the green with some levels adjustment or something to make the bridge boards stand out more and get more of the depressed mood.. (it's almost like they are too dark and then too light, obviously due to lighting but definitely fixable)

Thanks caleb. I'll play with it in Lightroom and see what I can come up with.

I like this a lot but I would actually darken it a bit to give it more of a mood. Road and path pictures always take me into them and this one does too --- very nicely done.

Hey Greg, to continue the goldilocks type theme...I like it too, and although Caleb thinks it's too dark and PRB thinks it's too light, I thinks it's juuuust right :wink5:

Seriously, I like the gate at the end, placement and tone of the bridge are fine IMO. You could play with it and come up with some interesting results, (vignette, oversharpen, saturation, etc.) but I really like this one "as is" and I've come back to it 3 or 4 times before making any comment just to be sure.

    Greg,

the photo does have a dark foreboding feel to it, and like jetrim, I think it looks just right to me

Greg, as I see it in my mind: You are nearing the end of the tunnel with the dark foreground and see the light at the end of the tunnel only to have a gate blocking your way out.

    I like it as is.

    Greg,

How about a B&W and then possibly sepia only the wood on the bridge. Great capture. S

Here's another thought Greg ... how about a little vignetting on the corners? Very subtle - not like a Holga! It would make the eye go to the centre more and the foreboding gate at the end.

    Cheers

I like the composition but there is just not much pop in the shot for me. I would see if maybe tweaking the curves a little and seeing what I could bring out as far as highlights. noticed some of the decking has some highlight. And if that would pop I think it would lead the eye even more straight a cross the bridge.

Thanks again all, Mike I like the vignetting idea. I will put it back in Lightroom.
