very nice composition, my eyes tend to follow the ball down the line or vica verss either way imo the line in the sand makes the pic

    Re: Lost

i agree with buckwild. the line is great and makes the pic much more appealing. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the hard shadow created by the ball. I wish it weren't there. I also wish the sand was a bit cleaner a bit more "duney" but obviosly you don't have control over that. Over all a great shot Tim.

Good , creative and simple composition. As a nit pik , I feel that a smoother textured sand without all the clumping would be more effective in aiding the strength of simplicity here, but, as i said a nit pik. This is very good.

    Hi Tim,
The image is well composed; the texture and lighting are both good. I hope the lost feeling is a bit stronger.

This is very interesting, the lines almost look like calligraphy. Beautifully composed and a good deal more light hearted than the title might initially imply. Thanks for sharing, it's a solid image.

    Re: Lost

    Thanks for the review everybody,

This was shot at sunset. Ergo, the long shadows and the red cast. However, I did bring out the contrast by stretching the histogram some.

When I shot this, I was thinking of those two robots we have wandering on Mars looking for signs of life. And, leaving their tracks behind them (until the wind erases them). Robot... Ball... Well, it is a leap I guess.

Lee, I appreciate your comment about the hard shadows. Do you think teased the contrast too much?

    BR,
    Tim
