    Urban Silhouette

    Hey!

First pic I took on my new Canon G10, new to this photography lark so I'm experimenting a bit! Maybe the tower should be less centered, what do you think?

    Welcome to the PR forum!

I agree with you. I think its centered position cuts your photo in half. I like the gradient effect in your sky. It might be cool to move to your right and catch the power lines "skirting" off the tower -- just a crazy thought.

It is a good image and the tower is just enough off-center to be ok but likely placing it in the left third of the frame would be an inprovement.
    No, I DON'T need that.

A little "dodging" to give a bit of detail in the shadow would improve it I think.

Welcome to pr first of all.

yeah, i agree the tower is a bit too centered. I like the nice transition in the sky, but i'm not too crazy about the silhoutte. i think the silhouttes that work best is off people or things that have really defined shapes. like imagine a couple holding hands on a beach sunset. That would be a perfect place for a silhoutte. Happy shooting
