    lone tree

Revisited the cliche of the one tree, this time with a lone weed.

Possibly a slightly tighter crop to remove some of the dark area on the right and clone out a bit of the bird poo on the ground .

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Hey Paul, you slammin' my 'tree' post?

Needs a different angle if you ask me, something lower and flatter. I see the shadow as a major element, but overall, there isn't enough here to hold my attention. Maybe later in the day when the lighting's warmer, also.

For lower angle, please send me new knees and new lower back.
    I'll be happy to oblige.

It's only two hours drive there, no problem for a reshoot - if I have a crane to get me back on my feet again afterwards

Understandable Paul, but unfortunately the viewer can only judge what he sees. One has to do something to make the angle attractive and shoot during the best lighting. Good luck.

    Re: lone tree

    And your feedback helps, thanks.
I can look for one growing by steps so I can get the better angle.

For this shot, I think I have a long PS session coming on cleaning up the ground.
Might need to take water and a scrubbing brush next time out

Warmer light I can do in PS too
But this one is shaded by the church in the evening, so I have to look for a plant in the right place for an evening shot.
Good job it's a common weed.
