    Are these OK?

Here are some pictures I took awhile back. The original of the Blue Heron seemed a little busy, but I was zoomed in all the way, so I cropped out all the excess. Does the crop seem appropriate or would you suggest it be different. The photo of my cousin's Civic is uncropped. I couldn't get the scans nearly as sharp as the prints.

    Here are the details:

    Blue Heron:
    Canon Elan 7, Fuijicolor Superia X-tra 400, Tamron 75-300 @ 300mm, Wally World 1-hour processing, scanned through an HP psc-2410 all-in-one.

    Civic:
Same as above, but with a Canon 28-90 USM lens

Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

    Cool good shots

The first one has this mass of just yellow stuff at the bottmom...don't know what that is. The picthure seems a little over exposed and not all the sharp. I'm guessing you cropped and zoomed in on the second. By zooming in it makes it really hard to see any detail. The last one is pretty good. Perhps if you had a wider angle you could get the entire car and not just the bottom, just my opinion though. I'm not much of a car guy, so. Good shots.

Yeah, the yellow stuff was just a bunch of Dandillions, that's why I cropped all that stuff out. The Heron was probably a good 50 yards away and that was the closets I could get to him. I had just woken up that morning and saw him down there.

I wish I could get the pictures sharper, but that seems to be the best my scanner will do. The prints are much sharper.

    Thanks for the info

I like the second one but it's a little over saturated. Might want to turn down the yellow a tad! Nice composition though!

    Janie,
Thanks for the advice. I lowered the saturation and I think it does look more natural now. What do you think?
