    Mark,

I do like it. It's almost abstract for me, and it just is an interesting shot to look at. I know it got some bad reviews in viewfinder, but I like it, and think it works. Maybe a tad more DOF, but other than that, it's an odd yet interesting shot.

    Nice shooting,

    Jared

I like it, though that out of focus petal to the right is a bit distracting. It's very abstract.

CaraRose, thank you for posting! Yes that petal and the top of the center "thing" are too soft. Also the DOF should be pulled back. F 11 intead F 5.6 might have fixed it.
What I like is the composition, opening into the frame, and the color.
    Jared, thanks again!!

I really like the color and the detail, but that right 1/3 of the photo just really bothers me.

I think it is agreed upon that the blurry petal on the right is taking away from what would be a very nice, different shot with a pleasing softness about it. I like it for all the good qualitiies here, but the right side is taking away from it. I really do like the soft yellow and purple colors with the black markings . Definetely has appeal.

right up my alley...I think the white space would be less distracting if you cropped about a fourth of the pick on the right... I know technically it has issues but i think artistically it's pretty fab...I love the smooth cool colors...very peaceful abstract quality...keep playing...

Thank you Natalie, the good news is that with extension tubes and a fast lens you can shoot these all day long! I dont know if you have a set, but think of a close up of an engagement ring, a sigle flower framing bride and groom, or the reflection of the beautifull bride in the grooms eye. Tricky, but doable.
    Anyway, I'm glad you posted,
    Mark.

Jared, youre going to have to send me a thesarus(at least then I could look at the cover an see how its spelled)because thanks & appreciate are getting worn out,
    !!!
