    Like Old Abe

From an architectural study of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library in Springfield, Illinois.

A stylized shot of the research plaza. Comments sought on how you react to this type of presentation. Thanks!

I wish the flag weren't cut off at the top. And I can't make up my mind on the glowing edges that came across from the conversion (it's hard to avoid those sometimes though). These may be a bit too strong. But overall I think this is a nice image. In as far as the comp goes, I really like it. I like the verticals of the windows and the poles.

    Thanks D.

The 'glowing' edges did not come from conversion to b/w. In fact they were intentionally enhanced from the sun producing an effect along the edges of the building. The main processing on this was a result of a multi-layered b/w conversion and mask selected noise reduction.

Think about the whole photo in terms of Abe Lincoln (hint: why the flag is the way it is)

DRG, I really enjoy your picture. Strangely, my brain tells me that I should be bothered by the croped flag but I am not. I find the presentation to be excellent.
