    Leaping Leopard
I photographed this fellow today with a D70 and Tamron 90mm macro lens and Tamron 1.4x teleconverter. I think he is a Southern Leopard Frog.

What do you think of the photo?

Man I need to get a macro...

I'm getting frustrated tonight because I am having a hard time finding fault in any images! This one looks straight out of a NG magazine cover. Good work.

This is another one of those great images that we have come to know and love from you. Excellent detail and color in this photograph. Nice DOF, those eyes say it all. The one verticle blade of grass that goes up the the right side is a little distracting but overall very nice image. Thanks for posting, I learn a little more about what macros are suppose to look like everytime you post one.

Very, very nice!! I love his look, like he's playing peek-a-boo or is annoyed with you, probably a little of both, LOL! Great DOF, great framing and composition, great colors... what else can I say? Beautiful!

    Take care,
    Eva

I agree that the blade of grass is unfortunate but still a great shot. The DOF focuses on the important stuff and the blurry parts enhance rather than detract.

After you took the shot, did his tounge come lashing out and slap against your Tamron 90?
