Leaf

Taken yesterday:

This is very nice, Jusolf. The lighting is very good. You have framed and composed this very well in the the leaf is not dead centered and the diagonal line which is the shadow between the planks is away from center as well. The sharpness is very good , and in a pic like this that is important to give us the textures of the dried, curled and writhing, but intact leaf and the wood. A very nice rustic image

Another good leaf shot Jusolf. (Sorry, I've seen the #2 before this one)

I agree with Gary. You've captured the textures very well and the over all comp. is well done IMO. Would love to see it done in the same Sepia tones as the other one.

I thought about using the same tone for this one, but with the other leaf, it really reminded me of gold filigree (is that the right word?), so I liked the warm tones with it...I might try it with this one and see what happens. :)

Good work Emily!

I agree with the positive comments you have already received. The only thing that I would change would be to remove the leaf that partly show in the lower part of the frame (prior to the shot). This leaf slightly distract me from the main one but that is more of a nit pick than anything else...

Hey Seb...thanks for looking and commenting...:) You're right about the second leaf there. I thought at first that I liked it in the photo, but when I crop it out, it gives it more simplicity...which is what I'm trying to do here.

I'm with Seb on the leaf hidden in the gap between the planks other than that spot on.
