I think you have to much negative space at the top but your work is awesome. Have you seen the latest copy of ESPN magazine? Creative nudes of famous athletes. I think you could easily compete with any of the work in it. You have certainly developed a style in the past few weeks.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
The large negative space is an illusion the way Phil posted it. If you look very carefully the photo is very well balanced with the photo itself having a very slight sepia/magenta background compared to the pure white of the page. It's pretty hard to see, but the top of the photo is a little less than the distance from her bottom to the bottom.

Realy fine work, Phil. It all comes together nicely with the pose, processing anjd overall setup.
As EOSthree pointed out the image is in landscape format and ends a bit above her head. There is a distinct color change from the toned image to the websites background.
Phil, really nitpiking here but the only thing that bothers me a bit are the hands.
Clearly they were given thought about positioning as I can see her clasping the thumbs together and working it, but somehow it came out looking a bit uncomfortable and lacking finess and fluidity in comparison with the rest of the pose. A really small point here, but your work has reached a level where only nitpiks can be had if any.
I have absolutely enjoyed your recent shots, and this one is no exception. Superb! Until I read Gary’s comment, and now her hands are all I see, and it does seem to make her look uncomfortable. Gary has a great eye for these things, as I have read several of his comments and he seems to be spot on.
I actually disagreed with the negative space comment, and thought it added (even though it’s an illusion). Maybe if she was looking up it would make you question what she is looking at. But what do I know, your shots are out of my league.

thanks.
it was a landscape image originally. I added a lot of negative space to get attention, drama, and interest. For me negative space...especially white... calms me down. When I look at this image...it takes me to a certain state of isolation, tranquility, and peace...... or I am just trippin. LOL

Very nice. I do like the negative space also but i think I would like it better if it were an extension of the existing background and coloring, as opposed to pure white canvas added...the fact that it looks like what it is, white canvas added abruptly to the image which is not a white background to begin with has the reverse effect on me (non calming) there is no right or wrong, all subjective really but just sharing my feeling on the added canvas/background deal here.
I can imagine this is an excellent seies with variations in poses.
I like it overall and find the finish very appealing. She seems a little smoothed out but not totally over the edge.. In a portrait, I think more skin detail is important, but not so much in figure.
No opinion on the negative space, but to me, the pose looks slightly uncomfortable/painful on the lower back. But she's probably in a lot better shape (and with less years) than me
