    The lighting is really hard on both of these, but they still have appeal. The top shot is good as the focus is right and the entire composition looks good. The grass shot on the bottom is good as well, but would have been much more pleasing i think with a much softer light from behind the grass.

    The top one just doesn't work for me. The color, the focus, the DOF, the lighting-it just doesn't work.

    The bottom image OTOH has a lot of potential. Like Gary noted the light could be better but I think you made good use of what was available. I like the graphic elements, the color and the crop.

    1 thumb way up.

    thanks. It was meant as a flat display of color,greens and yellows and reds.
