This is really cool. Would you share the details of how this was shot? Lens, ISO, fStop Sutter Speed and Camera. I am a rookie and am trying to learn.

    Great angle and exposure.
I wish there were more space at the end of its beak.

    Thanks for the nice comment!

The photo was shot @ 1/1000, ISO 640. f4 @ focal length 200mm, Fuji S5. Had to use fast shutter speed because the bird was poking the ground with its beak searching for food. So its head was moving up and down, left and right all the time.

Thank you for the kind words!

Unfortunately, the tip of the beak was a only few inches off the ground at that moment. No more room available.

Can you see it's tilted? ;-)

Well I didn't until you mentioned it....It could be pecking at a hill...least that's what I'd tell people.

Actually I think the shallow dof makes it inconsequential. No one will pay much attention to bg except as what it is.....a bg to emphasize the subject.

I like it. The focus is dead on. I've shot lots of birds so I appreciate the difficulty of getting this shot. I agree that i would have been nice to have a little more area in front of the beak, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get at the moment.
My kids think I have one big round eye and a light on my head!

    Thank you, mamajan!

Yep, some photos are difficult to take, but not all viewers appreciate it.
