I like the harsh shadows that are cast by the buildings in the first shot. they add really nice diagonal lines. both shots are overexposed and grainy though. come to think of it, the harsh shadows in the 2nd also add to that shot.

The first is great! Whatever you did in pp is perfect. Looks like a vintage postcard.

Not felling the second one as much, even though the shadows are cool.

Don, I also really like your processing on these. I like them both, but I think I'd remove "poop" from the wall in the second.

The first I really like, but I think is a smidgen too tight, without any view of the ground, and cutting off the chimney at top. Its only cutting them off by a hair though. If thats a crop, I'd loosen the crop a bit.

thanks a. I agree about the crop. That happened when I straightened the building.

both are great! I dig the first one. I agree, I would like to see the top of the building a bit better and a slightly looser crop would be good. I find the white halo on the buildings in the first one is a bit distracting. I think the picture would benifit if the sky was that nice color all the way around the building.

I like the second one as well but, not as much as the first one but it could be because the first one is very good. I like how you left in the "poop"

1st photo: love the classic feel
2nd photo: love the light and shadows. my eye was directed towards "poop" immediately. actually said "huh, wonder why i looked at poop first"
