Interesting images but the first two are quite flat compared to the following two.

    Re: Kauai, Hawaii Coastlines

Whenever I see shots from Hawaii, I always immediately realize why it's much a tourist attraction. These photos are no exception. They really show the incredible natural beauty of the islands.

Agree w/ Jim about the flatness of the first two. Try bumping up the contrast etc in PS or whatever. The 3rd from the top is dynamic, but I really wish the surfer in the right side of the photo was in the left to middle part of the frame, to the left of the tree stump. The shot's just begging for more humamism. The last one is OK though slightly cliche, but that's what happens with most lighthouse shots (as with sunsets, etc). That's OK, it is still a good shot and a worthy subject. Maybe if you could have visited it, a bunch of different type shots could also have been taken.

Yes, I agree. I'm going to try and see what I can do with those when I get PS. Both shots were taken on hazy days, and the first one was taken from a helicopter, which was up in the clouds.

My favourite is the beach shot with that wooden structure in the foreground. I would however clone out that bit of beach bed in the bottom corner. A nice composition.

The first two do seem to lack a little color, like there is a haze or something. Probably an easily fix in PS. But Wow, great composition #3 and #4 are SUPER pictures....

    Yakko,

My favorite is Wailua Beach at Sunset. I agree regarding the lounge chair at far right, take that out and this is a winner. Really nice.

    Thanks for posting.

Thanks, CF. I don't think I even noticed the lounge chair when I took the photo. I guess I focused too much on the wood and the sunset. How do you clone things on photoshop? Is it easy to figure out once you get the program, or is it complicated?

    Jay,

Thanks for the demo. I don't mind at all. It's what I plan to do with the shots when I get my hands on some software that will do it.
