    Knock Knock

Posting this now reminds me of Don's bus window filter. Did purposely degrading the quality of a thousand dollars worth of gear work here? I had this mask left in my apartment after Halloween and decided to put it to better use than creeping out everyone who visits.

I'm pretty sure I could pull some more details out with local contrast/clarity slider or reshooting and doing a better job focusing, but I'm not sure. I'm usually pretty careful about focus, so this may be as good as I can get out of the camera.

I like this just as it is. No pulling out details needed. The beauty of it is the dreamy quality and the distorted perspective of the peep hole glass.
I think this would make a very cool series of different characters coming to your door, all unique and interesting in some way as with your mask here. Your imagination will have to come up with variations and ideas but i think it could make a really fun series.

I agree, although I think I need to use other people's peep holes. I think I'll do that, this is my favorite photo I've taken in the past few weeks/months. That could be due to actually finding a use for that mask though. I feel like I got quite lucky with the backdrop (looks almost like a stable with the wood, western style door, and warm colors).

I would think using your same doors peephole is the way to go. The idea would be seeing the various characters that come to your door a visiting or just soliciting. the same backdrop i think is key to having it be "your" place. the fun would be seeing the interesting characters, perhaps some could even be picking their nose while waiting for you, a guy holding a pizza delivery while looking at his watch, another looking in with one eye, etc. I think there is a lot that can go on with just your peep.

I think it works. I would work on it a little more though, maybe bump up the contrast a bit, which should make the horse stand out better. Maybe a little clean up on the outer perimeter, esp left side too. It might also be really interesting in a circular matte.

PS - I like your other pix a bit better (LOL)
