    Just a leaf...

    It seems autumn comes a little earlier in Georgia than it does back home in Oregon.

    Newbie to DSLRs, loving my Canon T1i-a recent upgrade from my first camera love-PowerShot A640

    a little out of focus for one thing. You need more emphasis on the unique aspects of this. Maybe get closer.

    Actually, the focus might be fine - you can see the right side is OK. Where this one falls short is the very narrow DOF you used - the EXIF data is wiped but I am almost sure you shot it very wide open. This one would require something like f 8.0. Or you could have shot it with a small aperture but focused it too far in front of the leaf, only catching it on the edge of sharpness.

    Keep shootin', just have to watch the technical details.

    I think in order for it to go along with the "fall coming early" idea, there needs to be an element that still says summer.

    I agree the left side blurr is distracting, as for early fall, that leaf is dried up from heat and has dehydrated if you are in GA lol
