Seems that they are sprouting out everywere again ,so heres my first for 2006 :)

The in focus branch on the left and at the bottom take away from the subject. Crop those tow out perhaps? Bump the brightness and contrast a bit?

I think you need to take a look at competition or professional flower photography to get a handle on some of the unique styles that are used to get impact from an otherwise ordinary shot, and impact is what excellent photography is all about. You need to get some ideas, and then add your own imagination to get your own unique shot. You are not there yet.
