    Re: Surreal Sunday

I like this scene Yoyo it is very surreal.

Here is what I see in your image. I see a photographer having a day at the seaside looking for images. He sees and likes the shadows in the interior of the life guard house created by the outside door but thinks 'that's not really enough to make an image of'. So he captures the whole scene, but is still looks mundane.

Back at home he decides this is a job for the color replacement tool and Voila! Turquoise ocean, sky, number four of lifeguard stand, crest of breakers in shadow on the right and patches of green (now turquoise) similar to that of the ocean and sky found in the mountains of the furthest background islands.

At first glance this is lovely but I would watch out for your fuzziness factor when using this tool as I think it affected just a little more than you might have wished it to.

Thanks for sharing this image, I am always eager to see scenes from places I have not been to yet!

    Best Regards!

Hi Kam, The colour of the photo was manupilated with PS.

Hi CL, Thanks for the detailed analysis. Your description is very accurate. Do you think that only changing the colour of the sky is okay?

    Yoyo,

I really like the way the number 4, the sky and water compliment each other so I would just make sure that the color spread isn't quite so powerful. Try a lower fuzziness number, subtract out the bleed over in the waves and islands and it would be perfect.
