    Just an Excuse..Reflection

One of my favorite places to float for trout.. Any critiques are appreciated. I took these with an point and shoot over the summer.

I really like the first one. The pole is a good touch but could be just as good without it. I think you should crop just a touch from the top. The horizon and pole are just a little centered. I think the pole bent as it is would have looked good on the left side. Try and make your images flow for left to right when you can. It is also leaning just a little. But the reflection is killer.

The weed in the first one is clearly intentional. A bit quirky though. It wants to irritate, me but then it is putting something interesting in the foreground. How could I be irritated by something that is not interesting. Hm... The shot is beautiful.

Admit it. My reaction is what you intended.

great pics with strong impact! postcard quality in the first pic. like the subtle b&w in 4th pic...or is it complete b&w? eyes were getting funny the more i tried to figure out if there was slight color...

    Re: Just an Excuse..Reflection

Thanks for the replies. These could be much better with the equipment I have now, a great excuse to go back. Sorry for the late reply, I've been on a two day adventure of extreme weather, high elevation, freezing temps and tons of snow. I fired off 1,672 pictures.. Hopefully I get a keeper or two.

daq..you had me searching all over the place for a weed..lol. I should have read your next reply, My eyes are strained from looking so long for weed...I mean a weed . Funny thing is Placer County Sheriff arrested a huge pot farm near this lake around the same time the picture was taken.
