Love the colors, and composure of the shot, I'm just wondering if it would be look better with the rainbow flair photoshoped out. Just seems to mess with the monochrome color scheme

I like the varying textures and disarray of the wood. Some things I think could improve the shot: The sky and clouds look interesting but the glare from the sun makes it difficult to see. The lens flare, or the bright blue and yellow light is very distracting. Your pile of junk is also smack dab in the center of the frame. I would lose the sun, and the flare(?). Crop some bottom and left almost to the junk. Plus up the contrast a bit. Sorry, you asked.

    Great use of sun flare.
You read my mind before I had one.

Thanks all for responding. Your comments are helpful.

Jay, NKP68, easier said than done on cloning out that flare. I need that new magic wand that CS5 has (see the demo video, which I think is in the post processing forum). I don't think I can remove the sun. Interesting story: I tried to move up just inside the shadow, but the ground was soft and muddy, so this was as close as I could get standing on a board. Yeah, it is a bit centered ... sometimes when you get up close there's not that many different compositions available (I could try others, but it might look contrived).

Frog - Try again. But you like the flare?

Thanks Daq. You and Frog are in the same camp.
