I like them Dave. I haven't tried shooting fireworks in a loooong time (and the last time I tried was with an old film Konica), but I'm impressed that you have such great exposures, and no 'smoke' residue floating around. Great timing.

I am so jealous! These are nice shots. I tried taking pictures of fireworks but got nothing because of the smoke in the sky. Oh well, maybe next year.

Thanks everyone! I tried several different things while taking the pix. I was just lucky enough that so many people brought these fireworks and kept the show going so damn long. I took over 100 fireworks shots with exposures ranging from f2.8 @ 1" to f8 @ 25".

I'll get some more picked out and post.

Haha, I took about 100 as well, but was using a mediocre 15$ tripod, so I got alot of shaking, but your photos really have no evidence of shaking at all.

The first few seem slightly overexposed, but as you go down you capture the color and keep the detail nice and bright, very nicely done.

Now I assume you were using bulb exposure?

A good photographer doesn't blame their equipment.

MooshuBeef, I can totally sympathize. But hey, you've got one up on me, I didn't have my tripod with me at all. Now imagine THAT shake, hehe... :)

Dave, these photos are amazing. My favorite are the last two, but they're all great. The composition and use of residual light, your angle from above with the party on the ground - it all works with the fireworks to create some fantastic images. VERY nicely done!
