    This is a portrait I did of my husband Jesse over the Thanksgiving holiday. I have been wanting to expand to more editorial type work, so while I kept true to my desire to capture a person's character in their portrait, I also tried to evoke a certain design and mood to the photo, as well as to show off the coat, which is wool and has a wonderful texture. Thank you for your critiques and advice.

    I almost think it might make a nice black and white. I have found on shots like this if you do a custom white balance it takes the guess work out of skin tones and helps get rid of the flashed look.

    I don't see a photo. It looks like you removed the image from the original Web site?
