    Japan in my backyard.

Taken back when I first bought my camera in Japan.
A water aerator in Lake Yanase, I think.
Spider outside Minamata Disease Municipal Museum.
The interior of a Kyushu Shinkansen (sorta opulent).
    Wall at Lake Biwa.

Of all the pics I took in Japan, point and shooting, these were the four best in my opinion.

    Re: Japan in my backyard.

It is very hard to critique multiple photos all at once, so I shall confine my critique to just the wall. The picture seems a bit grainy, which is detracting from the lovely texture. The stones have lovely patterns, and the grain is interfering with the pattern. Move closer next time if you can. With the black and white version, the horizon blends in with the sky almost. The stones have nice variations of pattern and tone. I would again, get closer if you can. The interesting part of the picture is the wall, so concentrate on it. Don't put so much sky in the picture next time. A nice start though.
