Talking "It's not what it looks like, I swear!"

Had the opportunity to shoot some promos for an actor friend of mine with his leading lady for the second season of "El Cartel" a Spanish language drama series. Went to adjust a light stand and caught this shot while he was changing out of his suit. Does it work?

Oh yeah it works! Very nice, the out of focus figure in the background really bring the whole portrait of the beautiful women to life.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Can you clone him out?
It may not be what it looks like but what it looks like degrades the beauty of the lady..imho.
I may just be too old though.

Very funny, but the shot of the woman is gorgeous.

Frog, when I finish editing I'll post the formal shots in viewfinder with a link to some clips from the first season of the show. This was just a fun candid. (he *is* wearing pants in this, you just can't really tell)

Excellent portrait of the woman. I personally like the inclusion of the man in the bg. It is absolutely an entirely different photo without him there. Without him, we just see a beautiful woman but really don't have anything else to pull from. . .no story . The photo as it is with your friend in the bg gives me the feeling that the woman is not only beautiful, but that she is powerful as well and that she probably has an advantage over men in that she is so desireable. It seems from her expression and from the almost anxious-like expression of the man that she was in control of this situation and probably is in control of much of her romantic conquests
Interesting how so much can come to mind simply from the inclusion of an out of focus figure in the bg.
    Really well done.
Have they seen this, and what do they think?

    Does it work?
    Uh yes, definitely.
Very well spotted - definitely a leading lady look.

Re: "It's not what it looks like, I swear!"

My biggest concern was the expression on her face, but Gary seemed to be able to take the same feeling away from it that I got, so very happy to hear that. Thanks for the comments from everyone else too (and Shebang - you'll be able to see more shots of him in viewfinder tomorrow - I'll post a thread called "El Cartel" with more formal shots from this session)

EDIT - other thread is here
