    It's a BEE!

These guys are hard to capture as they wont sit in one place very long, especially when they are hovering. It's not bad considering the camera focus was in auto mode.

Not bad, the bee could still be sharper. What exposure settings (shutter, aperture, iso and such) and type of camera?

The photo could also be cropped to make the bee more prominent. These photos often are improved by have a contrasting background to the color of the insect, be they bees, wasps, or butterflies. It has nice tonality but all the elements just blend together to produce a brown and green photo.

Tex, it does look a hair off, but I certainly agree with you on the observation that flying things do not cooperate.

    Re: It's a BEE!

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, the camera was in full auto mode and I was using a zoom lense so that I didn't spook the bee away. The bee wasn't giving me enough time to make any adjustments, so auto mode was the only way I could get it in the frame.

I'm not at home, but I'll post the picture info later.
