Iris Dilemma...

Ok I haven't been over here on the dark side for sometime, but please don't take it out on this image. I really don't know what to think about it and would like your ideas. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Old Timer...I don't think you have much of a dilemma here...I think this is a really beautiful shot. The yellow against the deeper blue is gorgeous.
Not too sure about the bud at the bottom of the photo, but in general, this is really really nice. :)

I agree with Emily, but I wish the green leaves would more out of focus, because they distact me somewhat from the shot, but overall I think its great.

Another home run. The tiny bit of warm sunlight amongst all the cool light is perfect. There couldn't possibly be a better background for this. The fact that this is not the typical view of an Iris bloom is a bonus. Applause.

The flower itself is gorgeous, but I am not liking how the particular shade of blue looks in contrast. I'll reserve judgement until I get back on a system with a "known" monitor later today.

It almost looks as if lit by moonlight. I like it!

I would like a more of a blur on the bottom leaves though, and if you would like, I could try my hand at photoshopping.

Other than that, I think its a great job well done!

That is a super nice shot you have there. What did you do to set it up (Like how did you get the blue-cast in the shade?)? I like it all... colors, focus, dof, exposure.

Is this full frame? If not, I'd be interested to see what it looks like with a little more stem below.

Thanks to each of you for taking the time to critque this image. It is nearly full frame and I didn't do anything to it other than adjust levels and USM. I liked it as soon as I saw it but was a little unsure of the blueish cast that the background took on after the levels adjustment. I will revisit photo now and try to implement some of your suggestion. Thanks again for you compliments and suggestions fro improvement.
