Not sure there's much to change, tbh. I got lost in the photo and spent more time looking at it than 90% of the pictures I see. The only thing I may try to change is to bring back some details in the bike (lost due to high lights). If you didn't shoot RAW/that data is forever lost to 255, don't worry about it

Really looks like a commercial shot, there's even plenty of copy space!

Yeah. Got this in raw. I shoot almost everything in raw. Will play with pulling highlights back. Thanks for the suggestion. Haha. Some other people said it looked like a BMW promotional shot. And I kind of see that even if I am not sure why. Lack of business that allows type over it is probably the explanation.

Maybe trying to get some details would help like caleb said and maybe some sharpening.
You could crop some of the top but doesn't matter much.

Yeah frog. Actually I will try cropping the top to see, but one think I like about HDR and tone maaping is pulling texture out of the sky, so I am reluctant to give it up. But sometimes your obsessions lead you astray.

hmm. there really are a lot of blown highlights on the bike. I am kind of just learning how to capture enough dynamic range for HDR, and this was after pulling this 500 lb monster over an eighth of a mile of greasy mud with street tires. Which means I lifted it more than once and gave myself massive tendonitis holding it up.

None of which excuses bad photography, but I need to think a bit when I do this...

I wouldn't touch the sky. One of the parts I really like are the 2 con-trails that shoot out in the same direction of the bike/road. Very nice shot! :thumbsup:

You might want to send a low res copy to BMW, see if they want to use it.

Yeah it may have been built for it, but not for an inexperienced driver alone on street tires. It was a serious battle getting up this hill. But the trophy shot was worth it. Kind of.

I just had the editor of Adventure Rider Magazine tell me that he will publish this picture if I can put together a good story to go with it. He even said he might use it for the cover.

Even if he does not, I am pretty happy about that....

Really hardly anything to complain about. This is a well composed, well lit and interesting photo indeed. I really like the sunspot that illuminates your bike.. Looks heavenly. Those little thinggs make the difference. My only wish was perhaps more of the left and water. Very nice. GB

It looks a little soft in places to me. The snow on the left and the trees in the distance. One nit pik, I think you should clone the bush just above the left mirror.

About capturing the dynamic range for a good HDR, I have wonder about the same, I think looking at the histograms of the multiple photos the peaks need to cover the whole range, it is something I have intended to do, but always forget and then find out when trying to do the HDR that I wished I had another exposure step
