Seb, I've walked through many a buildings and cities with a camera around my neck (including Montreal) and I must say your images are a breath of fresh air for me. With urban situations, I tend to take large, wide viewpoints in order to make a simple statement. From yours, I get many messages and feelings from a relatively small viewpoint. Your technical execution is excellent as well.
Though, I'd like to test your fingers for PSR's (paint spray residue) ...
Seb, very good. i like the subtle lighting in this one and the colors are working very well. At first I'm not sure about including the space at the right of the beam, but it is ok.
Well done, a strong series it is.
This is a photographer's picture if ever there was one! The "If only" is clear and bright enough to stand out, so that it would catch the eye even if the viewer did not know the title. That is a strength I think - personally I tend to dislike images that require a title to make sense of it. This image stands on it's own I think.
I also like the irony between the "If only" and the surroundings. It tells a story.
I also am a LITTLE unsure about the space on the right. I'm in two minds on this one.
Mike and Gary said it all - this is excellent - I'm with Gary on the bit to the right of the beam purely because the white lettering takes a little away form the left of the beam, but its only a minor nit pic. The photo stands on its own regardless of the right or the title as Mike pointed out.
