    well today i went for a drive, and decided it was a great day to shoot the rock caves down by the bay of fundy. i like the way this turned out. first time shooting in RAW lol

    Wow, that is a nice image. I like your crop and the colors. The band of sand/gravel at the bottom is a nice framing element.

    Thanks MB1, there was a lot of sand at the bottom but i cropped it up to get rid of it!

    I think its a nice shot, too.
    Only thing I can see is to selectively darken that ice on the left of the cave opening. Just a little.

    Like Don said, the image is real enough to make you feel like you're there. The road at the bottom (if it is a road) distracts somewhat, but when I tried cropping it it doesn't have the dimensionality it has now. I'd leave it and let it be what it is - a nice shot of the great outdoors.

    thanks GB, its the beach is what that is, it looked exactly like that yesterday it was a beautiful winter/spring day and the snow was melting:) i have some more maybe ill post some other shots from my excursion lol

    great shots,reminds me of the night i spent sleeping in the tent just above the cliffs with my friend, we rode our bikes all the way from greenwood,i'll never forget the sound of falling rocks hitting the bottom early morning ,sounded like trains right next to your ears,very scary and magical at the same time.thanks for sharing.

    I think the sand should stay. I agree it helps with the framing. Great colors and exposure. Did you use any filters?

    nope didint use any filters, as i dont have any lol i have a bunch of 52mm filters but none to fit the xt! im saving those filters because they will work with my nifty fifty lens that will be in soon:D

    Have you thought about step up or down rings? A cheap way to use your filters on many lenses.

    yeah thats true greg, would they turn out ok with a step down ring from 58-52 mm?
