PERFECT background for this type of shot. The only thing I can critique on is on the top part of the icicle seems a tad soft and out of focus. other then that great shot!

Nice shot. I like the coloring of the icicle and the way the drip froze. Is that a reflection on the tip of the drip? I love looking at the bubbles throughout the icicle. My monitor isn't the greatest, so the details seem a little fuzzy. My only critique that I can offer, which I'm not really qualified to give, is to maybe have a tighter crop all around to fill the frame with less of the background and more of the icicle. Be careful, they hurt when you get too close.

I keep coming back to this shot and that drop still hasn't fallen!

Nice photo excellent background - perhaps a bit of sharpening around the icicle and perfection.

    PS has it dropped yet?

not sure if you mean that the drip is literally frozen like that or if I froze it with the picture, but that drip is just water. It took me about 50 tries to get this shot, with the water dripping off the icicle. Thanks for the comments everyone.
