    The Brooklyn Rafters

I have been apprehensive about posting this one because I don't see anything here but my significant other seems to think otherwise. I'm interested in knowing what you folks think?

Interesting shot. Almost an abstract type feeling. A few things, the left bar is overexposed, distracting from this shot. Though this composition is suppose to be simple and abstract I'm presuming, I would crop the grey brick on the bottom of the picture. I think the constant red would work better. I love the shadows on the main pillar too,

    Interesting shot,

    Jared

What I see in this is a possibility. The shot itself is nothing, but the subject is interesting enough to make another image with more attention given to composition.

Think of it as a scout shot. I'd say 80% of mine are...lol...

I have a shot something like this of my own. I like the contrasts here and the simplicity. The red wood against the blue sky with wisps of soft whiote clouds. The uneveness of the rafters and the shadows. Much here that I find visually appealing. I would agree with Jared about the blown out area on the left, but does not ruin the shot for me.

I agree there's potential here. I think placing the main elements as diagonals would have strengthened the shot. I like the strong colors and the good sky for the background.

Thanks to you all for taking the time to comment. Your points of view have made me see this differently. I will consider your suggestion Chunk about shooting this diagonally & thanks Gary for your continued encouragement. ;)
