    Nice scene...

    Looks like a real nice place. Too bad more of the house isn't visible...

    I think you could make this shot stronger by cropping a bit. Strong reflections lend themselves nicely to a symmetrical composition, so with that in mind you might try cropping either more horizontal, more vertical, or square, and when you do, eliminate the grass in the foreground (make fg all water), and make the far shoreline the vertical center and/or the house the horizontal center.

    Make sense? :idea:

    Btw, old Suffolk boy here (Islip). How are things on the Island?

    yeah the sky is very distracting, i always have that happen in my photos though to. i just try to pay more attention to cutting it out of the frame if a polarizer or graduated ND filter won't help.
