Cool shot GB. I think it is leaning right though. You might consider cloning the guard rail on the hillside and give it a more isolated surreal mood.

Nice! It does appear to be leaning right.
Only thing missing are dog tracks.
Love the texture in the rock.

    Re: Oregon Coast 1

guys, I thought that the lean was just natural, since the shore has to go down a bit .. but maybe not this much.

Greg, I would but I am hesitant to do anything other than clean up. I want this last year of KR to be natural (just for old time's sake).

Kobrien, not mine. Probably every one else in Oregon's, though. These beaches are relatively popular - visitors, locals, clubs, .. even a TV station interviewer/announcer.

Frog, I have others with dog tracks. Let me look for em.

Great composition. Great textures. What's not to love? (except those guardrails -- but I understand your leaving them)

That is a nice shot GB. The composition is very appealing, though the slight tilt the others have mentioned plus I would crop (if possible) a bit more to the left. This sort of places give a lot of different opportunities depending on the light. If you get chance to do a re-shoot some time, seat there and I guess you can take many good shots out of this scene with the varying light.

    WARNING - uncalibrated laptop

Gb, I love the composition and the footsteps make this photo. One thing I believe needs some work is the top right, its a touch too bright but that could be my laptop. A small bit could be take off the left to get rid of the human built blocks on the edge of the road, but they don't bother me that much.

I opened this link and litterally said "Oh wow" out loud. Its simply beautiful. The color of the rock and the sand really makes this for me. I dont notice the lean, maybe Im crooked ?

    Re: Oregon Coast 1

Thanks all. I guess everyone feels that the guardrails are bad. I really don't want to clone them out so to keep it natural, but I've tried cropping the left side instead and I don't like the effect it has either - clipping off the side of that foreground boulder really hurts the composition IMHO. I guess I will have to think of something else... Maybe I have another version of this one taken at a slight more western angle and from farther behind the boulder. Will check.

I was a bit concerned on the footprints. Not that they are always bad, but I thought there might be too many of them here. I guess they're OK.

I will fix that lean !

    Re: Oregon Coast 1

I don't think the guardrails are a problem and the lean isn't as bad as it first appears and you are right that it appears leaned due to the slope of the beach. The surface of the water is very close to level
