Wow, excellent view selection and depth of field. B&W works very well for this kind of shot. I think the light is just right and adds to the mysterious mood. It leaves me asking the question, What's going on here? Perhaps it's that intrigue that holds my interest. Well done.

That was exactly the first reaction from the motorcyclist in me.

The photographer in me says: Agreed with the above - only thing I can see, looks like the focus is just a little too deep; the far leg and the ground in front of it is in focus, but the rear leg is just slightly out. But it's a very slight niggle, and definitely falls into the category of "artistic preference." A very fine image indeed, love it.

I like it.The B&W suits the shot. A great angle as well. Nice Doc...
You need an old metal garbage can to go with it.

brmill26: I wondered about the focus, too. The upside is there's some debris to the left of the in-focus shoe that is tack sharp. So I can always say "Yeah, I meant to do that." :thumbsup:

Cool shot. Almost seems like it could be a sidi ad. For some reason the lack of a bike bothers me. It seems like there should be at least a wheel and bit of a frame poking in. Nice job though.

Rolled up jeans (at least the right side)=not getting your pants caught in drivetrain=no pain. Learned that one the hard way a while back. Especially if youre on a fixed gear where you cannot coast. Would make sense with the hipster title.

Yeah, that definitely would have been cool to have a bike lying on the ground or up against the wall. Alas, this was a candid and the bikes were behind us.

I've gotten my cuff caught in fixie chain. Sucked.

Nice composition. However, if you want to share it with a larger audience, I think it needs a bike for context. The average person who looks at this won't have a clue that the Sidi shoes mean something.

Great PIC.......with a hint of a bike (not the whole bike) this would be awesome.....may be worth a staged shoot.
