    Re: Hindu Temple HDR

I like that the hdr isn't over the top, but then I struggle to find a point of interest in them. The first one feels lopsided (even though I know it isn't). I am nopt sure that the trees add anything to the shot. In the second one, the architecture really doesn't work as it tends to get lost in the details. I am sure this is quite a striking image when viewed full size and would probably look fantastic printed large but I suspect the shrinking for the web doesn't do it justice.

Both are nicely done, using the tone mapping to pull out the sky texture while keeping the natural affectation of the architecture. Nice restraint and well done.

Actually, I like over the top HDR. But this is a little bland for me. The second crop is better.

    Re: Hindu Temple HDR

Thanks for the input. One of the issues I'm having is that it looks great on my monitor, but when I post, they tend to look look flatter. I think I need to calibrate my monitor, but then if everyone's isn't calibrated, it won't matter, right?

I process the HDRs depending on the subject. I didn't think this one warranted the over the top look, so I toned it down. Unfortunately, they are pretty restrictive on where you can shoot, so I didn't have may options. I'll have to go back and explore some and see if I can get some better stuff.

Yep, really. I like these much better than the non-HDR versions.
