Henniker Bridge

This is my first post, so go easy on me.
All comments and suggestions appreciated.

My main issue is all the foreground obtrusions coming from all sides, other than that good job.

the fore ground objects don't bother me. what does ( and not much you can do about it) is that dark tree right in front of the bridge. it being so straight, verticle, cutting the bridge in to sections and being that dark just really bothers me.

were you standing in the water to take this?

i was at a covered bridge this weekend, but the water is always to rough ( rapids) to get a nice straight on photo like this one is.

I was not in the water. There is a bend in the river before the bridge. That hanging branch bothered me too, but there was nothing I could do. I liked this side of the bridge better than the opposite side.

I like the second one better but it seems out of focus. The sky is not helping the image I feel you should crop the biggest part of it out.

Yea, that "tree" was part of the obtrusions I was talking about Dylan. The second is much better, but yes it does seem out of focused and the sky is rather plain. May be worth going back to that spot when the sky is better to try again though.

i think the first scene has the better lighting. if that "tree" is a branch hanging down from the above framing elements then try to move in front of it, or pull it down, cause i think the first photo is the better side ( with that lighting)

Good point, could also go at a time of day that creates better lighting for the other side (morning?) - seems that would be easier than having to get around that branch.
