i don't think so. in fact, it leaves me very curious as to what he's looking at down there on the ground.

You take some very nice shots of kids. On both this shot and the one of the little girl with the great eyes I think you could move the subject off center if you are going to include the background as much as you do rather than having them bullseyed.
Do you ever rotate your camera to evaluate a vertical shot?

I think you could go even tighter, moving the center of the face even more off center.

I'm so paranoid about going off center, just like I'm paranoid about cropping. LOL! I have some hangups. I really like the top shot you edited. It looks great.
