help for the color or stick to b/w

I'm really wanting to like the color version and make it work, but I'm not too sure. It started off pretty overexposed, so I toned it down by -1.3 or so in LR, added a glamour glow in color efex. I may or may not have done some extra tweaks in viveza, and added a bit of a vignette I'm sure.
    Then there's the b/w version.
Thoughts on either or both please.

I go for the b/w ... the green is overwhelming... it takes away the focus of the subject.

I prefer the color, though I agree with what Phil says, I think it can be resolved by reducing the saturation of green and yellow color channels.

I hope you don't mind, I took a try at it. I reduced the saturation of the green and yellow color channels down to -35. I also produced a number of soft black gradient circles on a separate layer on top of the girls to bring the exposure down even more so. The seperate layer set to soft light blending type.

I think reducing the saturation of the green made a huge difference. The B&W is nice, but to me it's a playful and colorful moment, so it's nice to have the colour.

Not sure. Anbesol's edit is great, though, and goes a long way in swaying me toward color. Sounds weird, but it has a very dreamlike, "flashback" feel to it that is oddly alluring.

But the overall image looks better to me, IQ-wise, in b/w.

Both have their charms. I'd really have to think about this one a little more.

I took Charlie's lead, slapped on a couple multiplied layers, toned down the yellows and greens, and got this

I actually prefer the original. Given that you applied Glamour Glow to it, I suppose you don't mean this to be a totally documentary shot then. For that reason, I'd accept the green as is as well. Having said that, I'd still tone down the white just a touch.

Re: help for the color or stick to b/w

I'm all for the original color version. I like the blowouts as they are and the vibrant color. The glamour glow lighting adds to the dreamy and timeless feel. Your last edit applied a lot more contrast and is losing that washed out dreamy feel, which is what I found most appealing about the aesthetic qualities of this.
Whatever you do go with, its a beautiful moment and makes a fine image.

Last edit looks great n8. Next time you have a similar problem, try midnite instead of glamour glow and work the sliders to get the exposure (default effect is overwhelming).

I hadn't considered a different preset, but I did actually think of you when I decided to go in and use a couple of layers set to multiply to tone it down.
