    The Pier

This is a real night shot of the HB pier, unedited.

This a good shot, but for me, it's pretty dark. I'd like to see some more definition on the waves. I'm wondering if you couldn't add some more middle values into this while still retaining the dreaminess of the lights on the pier?

That's possible with HDR, but I am sure lalotafoya can do this some other way.

This is a great scene to work with, I like the leading lines and the surreal blurred water. Very cool shot. Careful with that horizon though, appears quite crooked to me.

I agree about straightening the horizon. A higher f/stop would have helped with the lights too.
