    Foggy Landing

A cormorant landing in the fog. I shot this as the sun was coming up and shining through the fog giving this beautiful golden light.

    Paul,
You have been busy! Another great shot. I love the colors and the placement of the bird in the frame is fantastic.

    Re: Foggy Landing

Wow, I thought this was a forrest fire!

The composition is good. Might have zoomed in a tad closer, but it looks good the way it is too. I wish there was another animal or two in the background (alas, nature doesn't always cooperate with us photographers). The fog is excellant and tells me that I need to go out in bad weather once in awhile and look for shots like this...

Another awesome shot. Where did you take this one? The colors are great and once again you captured a great action moment. I love the color and the compositon is quite nice.

Great shot. As stated numerous times above, the colors are grand. My one critique would be to clone out the animal in the dead centre of the picture, as he's too faded to add any sort of affect on the picture (atleast on my monitor).

    Love the shot!

    Re: Foggy Landing

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to view and comment on this shot.

dadas115: This, too, was taken at San Jacinto Monument park. Just in front of the monument itself is a long reflecting pool. The cormorants were all over it that morning. Luckily, I was there as a bright sun was just coming up over the horizon and shining remarkably bright light through the dense morning fog. I aimed right for the brightest part of the scene, which gave me so much light that I could use a fast shutter speed to capture the movements of the double-crested cormorants. I have a small series of these. I'll post some more.

    Thanks again, everybody!

    Paul
