cool bird! wish i could help with ID(which is killing me), but AUSSIE raptors aren't my forte.

framed great, body/head position is near perfect! exposure looks good, dof looks too deep(less would also raise your shutter speed), angle isn't that bad, but eye level would be better.

i know birds all too well, so i assure you... you did a good job, whether or not it's sharp!

Thanks for the positive feedback, I think it is a brown Goshawk but not sure either,
Im gonna try to get closer but it will bee hard, i should be able to get down to eye level and set it up, gorgeous bird just wish it would stop attacking the cage, but what can you do?

    pesky bird

I haven't done much in the way of bird photography, but I've been trying to get a picture of some bird in my yard so that I can try and identify it. Very tricky stuff!

The fact that it's not sharp is distracting, but exposure, framing, etc look good. I do appreciate how hard it must be to get. How do those cockatiels feel about being photo bait? Sounds like you may be able to set something up to get a better picture. Not sure if that too nice for you little feathered friends though...

have you tried putting out stuffed Cats as a deterent or white flapping plastic bags. That helps with some birds. Great to see another fellow Aussie here as well.

well it's an accipter for sure(which a goshawk is) and i can assure you that they are bird eaters and a cat(even the huge mainecoons) stands very little chance against the america goshawk species.

more pictures would be great...any and all
