Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
beautiful rainbow. Nice mountain too. I wish the people were larger in the frame, and that the foreground was more interesting. What are they picking?
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
Excellent perspective and capture here! I am NEVER this lucky! First you geat a rainbow that you can actually see the bottom of at ground level AND it has a scene worth photographing at the end that actually looks like people collecting rainbows in buckets! Well Done!!

Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
The only thing that would make it better is the pickers arranged in RYB order :)

That would be an easy fix I'm sure.
Amazing catch. Sure it's got its needs, but that's the kind of moment that just can be replicated.
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
Thanks GB I should have let the lady in blue get a little closer
You know Cindy this rainbow hung around on and off the whole 6 hours I was at this site...:)
Thanks Tim ber
Guess details like that count Paul....:D ( note to self.......pay more attention to those minor details ). thanks by the way
Thank you Nate, no going back for a moment like this.
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
Very nice photo! you got a rainbow from the top to the bottom!!! You also had it in a good focus. But wheres the gold! lol!
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
They're collecting Skittles.
Killer catch, right down to the colors of the clothing.
Silly to say "this could be better" about a capture like this. Just be proud you got it. It's more than good enough as is.
I like Paul's suggestion. And it would be an easy alteration.
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
Awesome shot !! an already nice scene improved by a rainbow all the way to the ground, if I've seen one it is always way too far
If this lasted 6 hrs (!!!), did you get any more shots ?
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
I think they are picking some sort of winter lettuce and turning that into gold.....:)
Thanks Dray not sure if I'm up to swapping their coats around, getting rid of the power lines that ran through the shot was work enough.
Thanks armando yeah I took a few others but this was the best of them imo
Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
This is a wonderful shot, and hope it is real and not a Photoshop creation. If real, it is worth hanging. I like how you have the arc coming in from upper left, touching and highlighting yellow at bottom right. Perfect framing for my eye. The presence of people is important to the shot and glad you included them.
Well done. Wish I had taken it. So glad I opened this photo. My only thought, comment, question: can the sky be lightened. Was it this dark? Sky seems darker on the right than on the left.
If not, or yes it was this dark, then leave it alone.

Re: Harvesting the Rainbow
Thanks CF and Greg , the rainbow was as you see it but I must admit to removing a few power lines that ran through the background.
