    Harsh light exercise

The main reason for this shot was to get a bit of practice in at dealing with really bright harsh lighting conditions, sometime you just have to use your camera outside the golden hour...

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Thanks armando it's challenging under these conditions but you don't always have a choice so this was as good a time as any to see what I could drag out of the scene. The clouds are a bit of collateral damage when getting what was a rather pale blue to stand out a bit more I don't have a CPF for this lens.

    Appreciate the thoughts Flipkitty.

I really like the first one, it would still be improved by some layer blending of darker exposures. But it is nice the way it is.

You did well in the harsh light. I love both. Whatever you did with the processing works.

I'm just wondering if I would darken the grass area in the first image.

Overall, it looks good. I would personally crop out the dirt road that's on the right side of the image.

Thanks Dray and Rob, suppose I could clone some grass into that area.

Oooh love the contrast and length given with the stones. I do agree about the light could have been worse. way worse haha!
