    Actually, a replica.

Well, iconic that's for sure... Great light fills this excellent comp with a special " atmosphere" Quite good actually, I can't find a thing to critique. Well done all-around.

The sculpture's great, I was wondering if a little more contrast in the background may enhance the wonderful harshness of this country. The hills look a little hazy as is.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Very good.

For a variation, how about adding a little sepia toning? Or would that be corny?

    Re: The Great American Southwest

    Thanks fellows.

Straightforward shot, nothing too unusual, just needed to nail the composition, as I wasn't going to wait around for the light to change.

Here's a black and white version that I think better shows the background textures. Also Dray, here's somewhat of a sepia version. I'm not sure it hits the mark, but certainly no harm in trying.

I will post more on these metal sculptures in the Viewfinder soon. The artist was commissioned by Mr. Avery, the owner of Avery Labels (you get them in a Staples store). He just passed away, incidentally ..
