    True Evil take 2

Had another opportunity to try this one. Different room, same building. Tried a different approach and angle. I have to say I'm more pleased with this overall than the last

I think I like this one even better than the other.

Have you seen "Just Ray" Harris lately? :P

I like this one more than the original.

Love the hair, are you sitting on some bare electrical wires?

I'll die laughing if you do a self portrait and you look like Kevin Bacon

    Thank you for the response

    Thanks, Roger LOL
I've been reluctant to cut my hair, which is in much need of a good trim, because its turning out to be such an invaluable prop. . .

LOL! If I looked like Bacon, I'd be doing SPs all the time!

But I'd have to shell out tens of thousands to bear even the slightest bit of resemblance to that guy. I look more like the old lady they interviewed about the murder.

Love this Gary! I think the two shots are complimentary, but this one edges the other out when standing alone.

I was reluctant to look as I like the other one so much, but you're right and this one is even better. Great bg detail. Love the look in your eyes and can't tell if its a look of fright or of evil.

Might want to lose those two highlight spots just to left of your face.

Back again. Would be extremely happy if this were something I'd taken.

Gahs I don't want to diss the photo, because it is amazing. But your face just does not show evil to me. Maybe go read "The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward". By lovecraft.

It just seems to me that real evil would be a bit more visceral. Maye we need to see teeth? Haha.

True evil, give me the face you would have used had you walked in on Dachau or Bergen Belsin.

Posing for self portraits, I am beginning to understand, is hard, and you have done a wonderful job. Just not selling evil for me.

I remember going to the vatican and seeing an artwork of christ in agony wretching on the cross, like he was in major agony and trying to vomit. It was very odd and I remember it still.

Wow, pretty nice creation. The ONLY part I don't like here is how bright the hands are. Perhaps you can darken them, and maybe slightly lighten up the title of the book too?

Where can I get that book? You seem to be quite good at those kind of expressive shots..

    Gary,
Do not cut your hair. Get some pomade, gel, mousse, hat something, but don't cut your hair!!! It has taken on a large part of your "char-actor" and I am totally hooked. I really wish I could see these altogether in print somewhere. These different faces you are putting together look like they would all make awesome characters in a Verne-esque graphic novel!

I too like this one more than your previous take at it. The more S.P.s you show the more confident in the character you appear in each. Nothing to critique technically really except to say I love it and I'm off to the Steampunk now!

    Re: True Evil take 2

Hey, thanks to all for taking the time to come back to this crazy piece and letting me know what you think.
I'm glad it worked because it was getting to tiresome doing this over and over, I am afraid I would have given up on this if it didn't take.

    GB, good suggestions.
Cindy, sure you say that in the comfort of your own home, but if you had to go out with me you might feel differently :cryin: Well, maybe just a trim. . . .

Great shot Gary...all the small glitches from the first one were corrected, but I must say that the first one is really appealing also I would not discard that first attempt since its very well executed.
